Overview
For a career in web development we first want to get the basics right. In this course we will learn new syntax, practice it by using it in hands-on projects. Students will learn to do basic methods in javascript and to use ES6 features and functions. We will explore the basics of web development to develop the base understanding about how web applications work. We will learn how to version control our code and host it at github by using git. In the end we will learn how we can deploy our page and see it live on the world wide web using Github Pages.

Basic programming, HTML and CSS knowledge
Methodology
We will have lectures everyday where we learn something new and then we will have live code sessions that end with an individual project. In the end we will have a final project where students can combine the knowledge from all courses to one project. We will keep the last week open for the final project work and possible extra classes on topics that students are interested in learning or want to use in their final project.
Grading
Pála comes from the land of fire and ice, Iceland. Pála is a motivated and curious person who loves to learn new things, but even more so, she loves to help others learn new things and empower people to do what they love.
Pála has been working as a software developer for the past 6 years, where she has gotten to work on various projects. From going into building self-service solutions when the COVID pandemic hit, things needed to move fast. To work on large-scale systems where project architecture, quality, and a high-class user experience needed to be the top priority.

Yes. Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate signed by the director of the program your course belonged to.
Do I need a visa?
